CIPANGO
Two cultures per collection, made in Paris.
Paola Pimentel is a Franco-Dominican fashion designer. She grew up with a painter father and a jurist mother, trained in fashion design at the Atelier Chardon Savard, then launched CIPANGO in Paris in 2021. She also owns Konepa, three Paris boutiques dedicated to designers.
The name, a Chinese name for Japan as reported by Marco Polo, was passed on to her by her grandfather. Her brand, which specializes in pleats, brings together two cultures in each collection.
CIPANGO dresses everyday life, for women and men, made in Paris, with no animal-derived materials and short supply chains.
